John Reynolds joined the University of Miami at the Louis Calder Memorial Library at the Miller School of Medicine in 2017, as a reference and education librarian.

He earned a Master's degree in Library and Information Science from Florida State University and a Bachelor's degree in History from Davidson College.

Mr. Reynolds previously worked as the liason librarian to the dental medicine, pharmacy, and physician assistant programs at the Nova Southeastern Health Profession Division Library, medical librarin at Baptist health South Florida, and reference librarian at Palm Beach County Libraries. 

He has served as president of both the Florida Health Sciences Library Association (FHSLA) and the South Florida Health Science Libraries Consortium (SFHSLC), and a board member of the Florida Association of College and Research LIbraries, and is an active member of  the Medical Library Association (MLA) and the Southern Chapter of MLA (SC/MLA), and the Eastern Association of Surgeons of Trauma (EAST).

At the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, Mr. Reynolds coordinates the Calder Library’s Evidence Synthesis Review service, is a member of the Nursing Research and Evidence-Based Practice Council at Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center, helps teach the library component of evidence based medicine courses, and provides training and assistance for a variety of library resources.
